How to Cook Sausages
1 simple method
Have you ever worried that you might not be cooking your sausages completely? That they might still be a little raw on the inside? You're not alone.
This post is inspired by a friend who called me this past weekend with that exact same concern.
Fear not, we found a great method from Bon Appetit that works fairly quickly while also keeping your sausages intact and thoroughly cooked. (No exploding casings)
1. Place your sausages in a pot on the stove. Add enough cool water so it just covers the them. Turn the stove on to the med-high mark. Let them cook until it starts to gently simmer then remove them from the water. (It takes about 7 +/- minutes to get to the simmer point.)
2. Place the sausages in a pan and fry them til they get nice and crispy on the outside.
That's it, you're done! If you're still unsure if they are completely cooked, check them with a meat thermometer. Their internal temperature should read 160 degrees Fahrenheit for pork.
Hope you enjoyed this simple cooking method. Let us know if you have questions on how to cook any of our other cuts of meat.
